The lab statutes

The LULI laboratory is a joint research unit (UMR n° 7605) under administrative supervision of CNRS, École Polytechnique, Commissariat à l’Énergie Atomique and Université Pierre & Marie Curie.
It's an academic research centre on Hot Plasma Physics, from atoms to stars, a training center in Optics, Lasers & Plasmas and a Very Large Scale Research Infrastructure within the campus of Ecole Polytechnique since 1975.
 

The laboratory is also located on the Ivry-sur-Seine campus of UPMC. 

The lab staff includes roughly 20 researchers physicists, 40 technical or administrative agents and 20 students (PhDs or post-docs), to which shall be added each year about 50 external users, from France, Europe (through the LASERLAB-Europe trans-national access activity) or from other countries (United States of America, Japan, ...).
